Camargue
Die Camargue ist das Rhône-Delta, das sich zwischen Arles und dem Mittelmeer erstreckt. In den Sümpfen im Süden des Deltas können Sie die weißen Camargue-Pferde, die schwarzen Camargue-Stiere, die Flamingos und viele andere Vogelarten bewundern.
Highlights: die Dörfer les Saintes-Maries de la Mer und Aigues-Mortes.
Camargue is the delta of the Rhône river, which is situated between Arles and the Mediterranean sea. In the marshland of the south of the delta you can admire the white Camargue horses, the black Camargue bulls, the flamingos and many other species of birds.
Highlights: the villages of les Saintes-Maries de la Mer and Aigues-Mortes.
Les Alpilles
In Saint Rémy de Provence besichtigen Sie das Stadtzentrum, dann die römischen Bauwerke der Antiques und das Kloster Saint Paul de Mausole, in dem Vincent Van Gogh ein Jahr lang gelebt und gemalt hat. Danach geht es durch die provenzalische Landschaft der Kalkfelsen der Alpilles weiter nach les Baux de Provence, wo sich die mittelalterliche Burgruine auf einer Felsnase erhebt, zu ihren Füßen das malerische Renaissancedorf.
At Saint Rémy de Provence you visit the town centre, the roman monuments of les Antiques and the monastery of Saint Paul de Mausole, where Vincent Van Gogh lived and painted during one year. After that you drive through the provencal landscape of les Alpilles to les Baux de Provence with its medieval ruin on the rocky spur, at its foot the picturesque renaissance village.
Pont du Gard – Uzès
Besichtigen Sie die imposante römische Aquäduktbrücke, die den Fluss Gardon überquert! Danach geht es weiter nach Uzès, eine äußerst charmante und malerische Kleinstadt, der Inbegriff der südfranzösischen Lebensart schlechthin.
Visit the imposing Roman aqueduct bridge, which crosses the Gardon river in the region of Occitanie. Then continue to Uzès, a very charming and picturesquer small town. Uzès with its small streets and its lovely squares perfectly represents the southern French lifestyle.
Luberon
Gordes ist eines der schönsten Dörfer Frankreichs! Nicht weit davon steht die Abtei Sénqnaue hinter Lavendelfeldern. Durch das Tal des Calavon fahren Sie nach Roussillon, das Ockerdort, wo Sie einen stillgelegten Ockerbruch durchwandern und mit Ockerfarben getünchte Häuser bewundern können.
Gordes ist one of the most beautiful villages of France. Not far from it you find the abbey of Senanque behind lavender fields. Crossing the Calavon valley you arrive in Roussillon, where you can hike in a former ocre quarry and admire houses painted with ocre colours.
Isle sur la Sorgue – Fontaine de Vaucluse
Dieser Ausflug steht ganz im Zeichen des Wassers. Sie besuchen Fontaine de Vaucluse, wo der Fluss Sorgue in einer dreihundert Meter tiefen Karstquelle entspringt. Dann folgen Sie der Sorgue bis nach Isle sur la Sorgue, dem Venedig des Vaucluse. Zwischen Wasserrädern und Kanälen bummeln Sie durch das malerische Stadtzentrum.
This excursion is mainly about water. You visit Fontaine de Vaucluse, where the river Sorgue is born in a threehundred meters deep spring. Then you follow the Sorgue to Isle sur la Sorgue, the Venise of Vaucluse. Between water wheels and canals you stroll through the picturesque town centre.
